For the first time ever you can come and explore the historic and haunted buildings and
property of the Shoal Creek Living History Museum and be a ghost hunter for the night!

Shoal Creek Living History Museum is operated by the Shoal Creek Association and located in
Hodge Park in Kansas City, Missouri.  They strive "To Honor and Teach Missouri's Past" through
various programs and events throughout the year.  There are 14 authentic 19th century
buildings dating from 1824 to 1884 that were relocated from surrounding counties to create a
historic village setting.  This is truly historical preservation at its best!

Some staff, Civil War re-enactors and visitors to this location have reported seeing full
apparitions, unexplainable shadow figures, disembodied voices, hearing unexplainable
footsteps and even being touched by the unseen at times!  Upon a recent investigation, some
members of Paranormal Task Force (PTF) encountered some of the same!

Paranormal Task Force has been featured in various documentaries and productions which
have aired on SyFy, Chiller, Destination America, Travel Channel and more.  Such shows and
productions include "Children of the Grave,” "The Haunted Boy (The Exorcist File)", “Fact or
Faked: Paranormal Files” segment “Truck Stop Terror”, "Ghost Adventures" special 100th
episode, and more.

During this special event, a group of civil war re-enactors will set up a Civil War time period
campsite.  They will also perform a short re-enactment skit for your and the ghostly inhabitants
entertainment!  Re-enactments with period dressed re-enactors can stimulate increased
paranormal activity at such locations!

You will also be given a walking tour where you will learn the history of the buildings and some
of the haunting encounters others have experienced!  You will then learn about the paranormal
investigative (ghost hunting) equipment you will be allowed to use yourself when exploring for
your own ghostly encounter.  Then you will begin your fun filled journey with team members
from Paranormal Task Force as you seek out those that still call one of the buildings their
home!  Members of PTF will be there to guide you each step of your journey, teach you about
paranormal investigating, how to use various ghost hunting equipment and more.

in Springfield, MO
Friday - July 27, 2018 (On Sale Now)

Come explore and investigate the historic and haunted properties of the Mine Au Breton
Historical Society in Potosi, MO with Paranormal Task Force (PTF). Paranormal Task Force has
been featured in various documentaries and productions which have aired on SyFy, Chiller,
Destination America, Travel Chanel, and others not listed.  Such shows and productions include
"Children of the Grave", "The Haunted Boy (The Exorcist File)", “Fact or Faked: Paranormal
Files” segment “Truck Stop Terror”, "Ghost Adventures" special 100th episode, Destination
America's "Exorcism Live" and more.

During your exploration you will have access to three historic buildings of the Mine Au Breton
Historical Society and adjacent small cemeteries!  Their properties include the James Long
Home (Long-Banta House), the Austin-Milam-Lucas Store and the Old Presbyterian Church.

The lovely Victorian Long-Banta Home was built about 1865 and was home to the prominent
Long and Banta families.  Many were born and even passed away within its doors.  Some still
call it their home today.  Visitors have reported seeing shadow figures, hearing disembodied
voices and experiencing other unexplainable activity.

The Austin-Milam-Lucas Store started as a rustic log cabin built in 1797 by Moses Austin, the
father of Stephen Austin.  As you may know, Stephen is known as the "Father of Texas".  As a
log cabin store it saw "Trail Of Tears" victims in 1830 and then invading confederate soldiers in
1864.  Through the following years it was added onto then turned into a boarding house.  In
1932, a bank clerk names Frank Flynn ended his own like by shooting himself in the heart with a
.38 revolver!  Some of the boarders still remain there today as visitors have experienced
shadow figures, disembodied voices, phantom foot steps, being touched by the unseen and
more within these walls!

The Old Presbyterian Church is the oldest Presbyterian Church standing west of the Mississippi
River as it was built in 1833.  It served as a church until 1907 and then afterwards gave as the
Masonic Auditorium, school gymnasium, silent movie theater, Boy Scouts meeting hall and now
as a museum.  Visitors have reported hearing footsteps of someone who was not there,
significant unexplained temperature changes and more!   Do residents of the adjacent
cemeteries still gather there today?

Even the check in location, the Sweet Memories Shop, is very historic and haunted as well!
While taking your breaks at this location you just may even experience a full apparition
yourself! Sweet Memories will also have snacks, beverages and more which you can purchase
when you take breaks.

A pre-investigative tour will start at 7:00 p.m. to present the history and hauntings of the Mine
Au Breton Historical Society properties.  After the tour you will then be able to investigate
these properties until 4 a.m.  This event is for the experienced and/or serious investigator as
this is limited to only 15 attendees.  Unlike our normal Overnight Ghost Hunts, there will be no
rotations, no assigned breaks, no excessive audio contamination and provides more quality
investigative time!  You will be on your own to explore and investigate for paranormal activity!

There will be a few Mine Au Breton Historical Society and Paranormal Task Force members on
hand in case you need any assistance

Are you brave enough to investigate one of the premier, historically haunted locations in the
central mid-west? Join Paranormal Task Force in this public investigation of this amazing iconic
haunted location!  Paranormal Task Force is a nationally known paranormal group based in the
St. Louis Area.  They have appeared in local broadcasts as well as nationally syndicated shows
like the Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures”, the SyFy network’s “Fact or Faked” and
Destination America’s “Exorcism Live”.  They have also worked with the Booth Brothers on
documentaries such as “The Haunted Boy” and “Children of the Grave”.  This is the first time
Paranormal Task Force has offered this event, but they have investigated there privately many
times.  Coupled with its unique past and it’s new found future, it’s no wonder why “some” call it
home.

Ashmore Estates started as the Coles County Almshouse in 1869.  It was operated as an
Almshouse and then later as a psychiatric institution until 1986, when it closed its doors for
good.  During some of these years the living conditions were deplorable and many deaths
occurred.  Many poor, sick and mentally disturbed individuals called it home in its over 100
years of operation.  Some perhaps still do.  Ashmore Estates has also been featured on the
Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures”, SyFy’s “Ghost Hunters” and the Booth Brothers’
documentary “Children of the Grave 2”.  It has quickly become a favored place of paranormal
investigation known for its day and night paranormal activity
