Dare to be scared and let your 1st or next ghost adventure be at this historic, enchanting and
haunted location!  Be a Ghost Hunter for a night while investigating Missouri's most haunted
castle and one of the most haunted locations in the Mid-West.

Pythian Castle has been featured in such paranormal shows as "Children of the Grave", "Ghost
Lab", "The Haunted Collector" and "Ghost Adventures" along with being in various paranormal
books, news articles and other media!  Paranormal Task Force (PTF) has been featured in
various paranormal shows and documentaries which have aired on SyFy, Chiller, Destination
America, Travel Chanel and more.  Such includes "Children of the Grave", "The Haunted Boy
(The Exorcist File)", “Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files”, "Ghost Adventures" and more.

Originally built around 1911 by the Knights of Pythias for use as a home for widows and orphans
where dark hidden secrets and tragic events went untold for years.  The Castle later became
part of the Army's O'Reilly Hospital Complex in 1942 and served as the Service Club for enlisted
men.  It was during this period that the Castle also started serving a plethora of unexplainable
activity.  During WWII the O'Reilly Complex also housed three or more wards of POW's.  Many of
them were interrogated within the walls of the Castle and tales from visiting veterans over the
years sometimes tell of "not so happy" endings. In 1947 the Castle became part of the Veterans
Administration 500 bed tuberculosis hospital until 1952 when vacated.  From that time forward it
served as many uses until being bought by the current owner in 2003.

With it's eloquent charm, mystic atmosphere, mysterious past, lovely hosts and an abundance
of occurring unexplainable events; this is one place that you want to add to your "places to
visit before you pass on" list.  When you indulge yourself within this building once, you will find
yourself with an addiction to return multiple times to experience more of what it has to offer.

Your 8 hour learning, fun and sometimes scary adventure into the paranormal realms will start
with a pre-investigative introductory meeting with Paranormal Task Force, followed by a
informative presentation and walking tour of the Castle by one of their experienced tour
guides!   Afterwards you will be given an informative presentation about the paranormal
investigative equipment you will be able to use and will see in action during your journey.  You
and members of your party will then be in one of three groups that will rotate through the three
floors of the Castle, where you will be able to both explore and/or interact with PTF team
members and learn various investigative techniques and more about the paranormal.

After the rotations you will be able to refuel your energy during the midnight meal break where
you will be served pizza, other snacks and may even be one of the winners of the free
attendance raffle we hold.  Afterwards, you will then be able to explore throughout the Castle
on your own or with the assistance of a PTF team member until the event is over at 3 a.m.

Everyone will have the opportunity  to investigate with investigators of Paranormal Task Force
and to use equipment and receive paranormal field training as desired.

Be a Ghost Hunter for a night while also aiding in the preservation of history.  Come investigate
the historic and haunted properties of the Mine Au Breton Historical Society in Potosi, MO on
Saturday April 24, 2021 with Paranormal Task Force.

Paranormal Task Force has been featured in various documentaries and productions which
have aired on SyFy, Chiller, Destination America, Travel Chanel, and others not listed.  Such
shows and productions include "Children of the Grave", "The Haunted Boy (The Exorcist File)",
“Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files” segment “Truck Stop Terror”, "Ghost Adventures" special
100th episode, Destination America's "Exorcism Live" and more.

During your exploration you will have access to three historic and haunted buildings of the
Mine Au Breton Historical Society and adjacent small cemeteries!  Their properties include the
James Long Home (Long-Banta House), the Austin-Milam-Lucas Store and the Old Presbyterian
Church and three small adjacent cemeteries.

The lovely Victorian Long-Banta Home was built about 1865 and was home to the prominent
Long and Banta families.  Many were born and even passed away within its walls.  Some still call
it their home today.  Visitors have reported seeing shadow figures, hearing disembodied
voices and experiencing other unexplainable activity.

The Austin-Milam-Lucas Store started as a rustic log cabin built in 1797 by Moses Austin, the
father of Stephen Austin.  As you may know, Stephen is known as the "Father of Texas".  As a
log cabin store it saw "Trail Of Tears" victims in 1830 and then invading confederate soldiers in
1864.  Through the following years it was added onto then turned into a boarding house.  In
1932, a bank clerk named Frank Flynn ended his own like by shooting himself in the heart with a
.38 revolver!  Some of the boarders still remain there today as visitors have experienced
shadow figures, disembodied voices, phantom foot steps, being touched by the unseen and
more within these walls!

The Old Presbyterian Church is the oldest Presbyterian Church standing west of the Mississippi
River as it was built in 1833.  It served as a church until 1907 and then afterwards used as the
Masonic Auditorium, school gymnasium, silent movie theater, Boy Scouts meeting hall and now
as a museum.  Visitors have reported hearing footsteps of someone who was not there,
significant unexplained temperature changes and more!   Do residents of the adjacent
cemeteries still gather there today?

Even the check in location, the Sweet Memories Shop, is very historic and haunted as well!
While taking your breaks at this location you just may even experience a full apparition
yourself! Sweet Memories will also have snacks, beverages and more which you can purchase
when you take breaks.

A pre-investigative meeting and tour will start at 6:00 p.m. to present the historical & haunted
history of the properties being investigated and to tour them while it is still light.  Then the all
night investigation will begin around 8 p.m. and conclude at 3 a.m.

haunted location!  Paranormal Task Force is a nationally known paranormal group based in the
St. Louis Area.  They have appeared in local broadcasts as well as nationally syndicated shows

good.  During some of these years the living conditions were deplorable and many deaths
occurred.  Many poor, sick and mentally disturbed individuals called it home in its over 100
years of operation.  Some perhaps still do.  Ashmore Estates has also been featured on the
Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures”, SyFy’s “Ghost Hunters” and the Booth Brothers’

Overnight Ghost Adventure in Potosi, Missouri
Saturday April 24, 2020
We would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of
our supporters who have attended our various workshops,
presentations and overnight events through the years.  It is
because of you that since 01/01/2007 Paranormal Task
Force (PTF) has raised over $75,000 for various historical
societies and locations which has aided greatly with part of
our mission concerning historical preservation!

Due to COVID 19 concerns - We will have Hand Sanitizing stations set up for use, sanitizing all
hand held equipment before issuing and after collection,  utilizing disposable gloves when
handling items and practicing "social distancing".

This event will also have 50% or less than our normal amount of attendees to allow plenty of
room for "social distancing" while you explore for paranormal activity!  We know everyone
wants to get out there and ghost hunt and we want to make sure that all of you stay safe while
having a good time.

Dare to be scared and let your 1st or next ghost adventure be at the historic and haunted Tri
County Truck Stop (formerly The Diamonds Restaurant)on old historic Route 66 in Villa Ridge,
MO (about 40 miles west of St. Louis right off of Hwy 44)!  Be a Ghost Hunter for a night while
investigating Missouri's most haunted truck stop and one of the most haunted locations in the
Mid-West.

Tri County Truck Stop has been featured on "Fact or Fake: Paranormal Files" segment "Truck
Stop Terror", Fox 2 News, several news publication and more!   Paranormal Task Force (PTF)
has been featured in various paranormal shows and documentaries which have aired on SyFy,
Chiller, Destination America, Travel Chanel and more.  Such includes "Children of the Grave",
"The Haunted Boy (The Exorcist File)", “Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files”, "Ghost Adventures"
and more.

This once Route 66 roadside icon formerly known as “The Diamonds” Restaurant has had its
share of tragic moments throughout its past. Started by a young law student with ambitions and
dreams as a roadside stand selling plums in the early 1900’s, it grew to being the world’s
largest roadside restaurant in its heyday. The current building, built in 1950 after the previous
building burnt to the ground in the late 1940’s, became the Tri-County Restaurant and Truck
Stop in 1970 after “The Diamonds” relocated to be nearer to the newly opened Interstate
Highway.

Before closing its doors to the public in September of 2006, employees and customers alike
were experiencing a plethora of paranormal activity. Such experiences and reports included
full-bodied apparitions, eerie shadow figures, objects levitating from one table to another,
kitchen appliances turned off and on, people touched by unseen forces, children reporting
seeing a bloody monster on the stairway, disembodied voices and so much more. Paranormal
Task Force (formerly Missouri Paranormal Research) investigations of 2006 yielded some of the
most phenomenal visual and audible captures to date, validating both employee and customer
experiences at this spine-chilling location.

Your 8 hour learning, fun and sometimes scary adventure into the paranormal realms will start
at 6:00 p.m. with a pre-investigative introductory meeting with Paranormal Task Force, followed
by a informative presentation and walking tour of Tri County Truck Stop!   Afterwards you will be
given an informative presentation about the paranormal investigative equipment you will be

refuel your energy during the midnight break where you will be able to rest and enjoy any
snacks you may have brought and may even be one of the winners of the free attendance raffle
we hold.  Afterwards, you will then be able to explore throughout the building on your own or

Hall of Waters - Excelsior Springs, MO

This marvelous 5 level building was built in 1936 and features exterior and interior art deco
design with motifs of Mayan Indian tradition relating to water and Water Gods. You will be in
awe with the beauty of this masterpiece design for this massive building! Not only did a mineral
spring run beneath this building, it also piped in the mineral waters from 9 other springs as well
and bottled them for public sale. This building also severed as a spa and used the mineral
waters for holistic treatment for peoples aliments and health. It featured a competition size
swimming pool that was filled with salt water, a therapy pool (polio pool) used for people along
with a men's and woman's spa area for treatment as well. Each spa area would treat up to 300
people at any given time! At its height, the Hall of Waters was the most complete outfitted
health resort in Missouri and possibly the entire region. The Hall of Springs was the longest
mineral water bar in the world!

It is unknown how many deaths occurred within its walls, but with the sick and ailing coming for
their holistic treatments in the past can only make you wonder! People today may have
encounters with those that passed on within its walls as they experience hearing footsteps
from the unseen, voices from the other side, touches from beyond the veil and at times even
experience seeing "The Lady in Red" or other apparitions including unexplained shadow
figures.

Ray County Museum - Richmond, MO

The Ray County Museum was build in 1904 and served as the Poor House, then served as a
Nursing Home before becoming the current museum in the 1970's. There are numerous
documented deaths at this location through its history and also many artifacts which could add
to the paranormal activity as well! Our previous two investigations of this location have
resulted in many unexplainable experiences including captured EVP's and even a visual
anomaly on a thermal imagery.

Paranormal Task Force

Paranormal Task Force has been featured in various documentaries and productions which
have aired on SyFy, Chiller, Destination America, Travel Chanel and more. Such shows and
productions include "Children of the Grave", "The Haunted Boy (The Exorcist File)", “Fact or

This Halloween season, let your first or next ghost adventure be at the historic and haunted
Rodgers Theatre in Poplar Bluff, MO! Why go out to places that use actors, props and costumes
for a fake scare when you can go on a real ghost adventure and possibly experience the real
thing at an actual haunted place!

The Rodgers Theatre was built in 1949 by entrepreneur I.W. Rodgers. It has a unique art deco
combined with art moderne style makes it one of the few surviving buildings with this style
today. In 1998, the theatre closed and in 1999 this historic jewel was donated to the citizens of
Butler County where it is now a non-profit entity undergoing phases of restoration. In 2001 it
was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Prior to the theatre, the land hosted a boarding house. Then boarding house yard was used as
a triage center after the devastation of the great 1927 tornado where over 100 people died in
an instant. Sadly many travelers have met their demise on the adjacent highway, railroad tracks
or by drowning in the nearby Black River. Standing under the existing marquee, you can glance
up the street to the exact spot that the county hung it’s most heinous criminals.

This special weekend features 2 different paranormal adventures! Remember there is room for
plenty of social distancing in the 11,000 plus square foot theatre and the adjacent storefronts
(Maze).

Saturday October 24 just added!  “Devil’s Night” Friday October 30, 2020 – Ghost Adventure

On
Saturday October 24 (just added) & “Devil’s Night” Friday October 30 (sold out) from  7 p.m.
to 3 a.m., your adventure includes a guided tour of the theatre and an area called “the Maze”
(storefronts that connect to the theatre including the old county coroner’s office! You will then
receive a paranormal equipment presentation on hand held equipment you will be able to use
during your adventure along with other stationary equipment set up for interaction with the
other side!  You will then be rotated through the 3 zones within the theatre and maze area

Rodgers. It has a unique art deco
combined with art modern style makes it one of the few surviving buildings with this style

(Maze).

Paranormal Task Force (PTF)
has been featured in various paranormal shows and documentaries which have aired on SyFy,
Chiller, Destination America, Travel Channel and more.

Your 8 hour special limited adventure into the paranormal realms will start at 7:00 p.m. with a
pre-investigative introductory meeting with Paranormal Task Force, followed by a informative
history and haunting presentation and walking tour of Tri County Truck Stop!
