Local weather conditions for this investigation for the time period of 7:00PM to 1:30AM were clear with winds calm at the onset and ending with East/Northeast at 6mph. Temperatures started at 72 degrees Fahrenheit and dropped to 68 degrees Fahrenheit, barometric pressure remained steady at 30.06 during the course of the investigation. Relative humidity ranged steady at 69 percent. Lunar data was a Full Moon of 100 percent Full. Solar x-rays were normal and the Geomagnetic Field was quiet. Residence 1 - Paranormal Task Force was contacted by the home owner’s daughter, who had recently viewed a newspaper article about the team. She was born and raised in the home. The home is approximately 150 years old. It is reported that many homes in this area are haunted and the area was once a stop along the Underground Railroad. The current home owners have lived in the home for the past 30 plus years. They estimate occurrences began in the mid 1970’s. The initial occurrences included doors opening, footsteps, as well as a sighting of a female apparition. Over the years, the activity increased to include lights turning off and on, additional sightings of the female entity, and sounds of the door bell ringing and piano keys. There have also been instances reported of the smell of perfume. Both the mother and her daughter have experienced a whoosh sound on numerous occasions, at times in conjunction with a drop in temperature. There does not appear to be a pattern or regularity in occurrence of the activity. The primary witness to the activity is the youngest daughter and her daughter along with the mother who currently resides in the home with her husband. Residence 2 - The home was built in 1906. The home was occupied by its builder for approximately ten years before transferring ownership several times through the years. The current owners have resided in the home for approximately five years. The current owners report various disturbances which began just prior to moving in and during remodeling activities. They experience the sound of running footsteps on the second floor when all family members and pets are on the first floor. The second floor shower has been observed turning on and off at will. The TV in the kitchen has also been observed to turn off and back on again. The owners also report seeing shadows out of the corner of their eye. A previous owner reported seeing the apparition of a man in her bedroom on the second floor. Some of the occurrences have also been witnessed by the mother-in-law as well as a babysitter. Occurrences are reportedly observed 2-4 times per month. The owners report that they are not fearful or feel any threat from this activity. They are primarily interested in validating their experiences. For this investigation video recorders with and without infra red extenders and night shot capabilities were used. Various digital still cameras, EMF meters, voice recorders, IR Thermometers and radiation detectors were also utilized throughout the investigation. Residence 1 - Paranormal Task Force investigators arrived at approximately 7:00PM to review procedures with the homeowners and to complete investigation paperwork. At approximately 8:30PM, the investigation began at this location. Due to the large team presence, the home was monitored by numerous video cameras, mobile camcorders, and audio devices. Interactive and passive EVP sessions were also conducted on all levels and areas of the home and specifically in the areas of previous occurrences. The investigation was concluded at approximately 1:30AM. It is important to note that Fourth of July festivities were taking place the town. Noise of fireworks was disregarded during final video and audio analysis Residence 2 - Paranormal Task Force investigators arrived at approximately 7:00PM to review procedures with the homeowners and to complete investigation paperwork. It was decided that equipment would be set up and locked down while the family was away. By approximately 8:30PM, all equipment was in place and the home was locked down. All human elements were removed; small canines remained in the home, closed in a room on the main level. Video and other equipment was focused throughout the home, including basement and attic areas. Home remained locked down for approximately two hours. At approximately 11:00PM, all equipment was removed from the home right after the family's return. It is important to note that Fourth of July festivities were taking place the town. Noise of fireworks was disregarded during final video and audio analysis. Residence 1 - 1.) During an interactive EVP session in the attic, Chris and Matt of PTF and Steve of MPIA, reported hearing banging and the floor shake after witnessing a shadow moving in the front corner of the attic. 2.) Dennis, investigator with PTF, sat down in front room of the home on the main level to view his camera monitor when a dish of potpourri flew off the desk. Dennis stated he had not made any contact with the dish. This event was also witnessed by Tom of PTF. The dish was not damaged. 3.) PTF investigator Tom reported hearing whistling from an unknown source at least twice along with a thud sound in the attic area where the owners reported having heard footsteps in the past. 4.) PTF investigator Greg, while conducting a solo EVP session in the front bedroom, witnessed movement of a mass slightly lighter than the darkness. While witnessing this event, he also heard a whoosh sound and heard rustling of plastic bag. When the lights were turned on, there were indeed such bags on the bed. Residence 2 - 1.) While setting up video equipment, Steve of MPIA witnessed an unexplainable white misty mass at the top of the stairs leading to the second floor. 2.) Several investigators saw the bathroom light turn off and on while outside the residence. Several digital pictures as well as hours of video and hours of audio were collected during the investigation. Residence 1 - One Class A EVP was captured during an interactive EVP session on the first floor which says "Nice House". Residence 2 - Three video cameras captured the sounds of footsteps when no human was in the house followed by the sound of attempts to open a door blocked by a bookcase and possible uttering verbal noises. One video camera captured the second floor bathroom light being turned off and on with the audible sound of the light switch being clicked during this period. One security surveillance system camera captured a very odd noise in the back stairway area. Residence 1 - The combination of human experiences with the notable and unexplainable audio clip indicate that there is a good probability that paranormal activity is present at this location. However, further follow up investigations will have to be conducted to determine such. Residence 2 - The combination of human experiences with the notable and unexplainable video clip indicate that there is a good probability that paranormal activity is present at this location. However, further follow up investigations will have to be conducted to determine such. Also, it is recommended that a certified electrician conduct some testing on the wiring in the second floor bathroom.
