| Investigation of Meramec Manor Fenton, MO – May 24, 2008 EVP – Electronic Voice Phenomena Summary Electronic Voice Phenomena or EVP is believed to be disembodied voices and/or other unexplainable communication from spirits or the unknown captured on various audio equipment. The process to capture EVP was first attempted by Thomas Edison who created a machine to communicate with the dead, referred to at the Thomas Edison Communicator, after the death of his mother. Upon his death this machine and its schematics amazingly disappeared. EVP Classification: Class A – Everyone hears the EVP and agrees it is saying the same thing. Class B – Everyone hears the EVP, but different words. Class C – Everyone agrees it is an EVP, but unintelligible. Greg’s Captures (Voice Recorder) Location: Living Room Area 1 – 6:45 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 1 – Captured during tour with owner Trudy. Note the child “Weeeeeeee” sound while others are talking. (65 to 330- Hz Range) 3 – 6:46 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 3 - Judy remarking about seeing a 3 to 4 year old spirit boy near the foyer with her sensitivities. 3 Clip Judy Note Extract – Raw clip of Judy’s remarks Location: Hallway near Door Going to Attic 4 – 6:50 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 4 – Captured while others are talking during tour near doorway going to the attic bedroom. Note: Video segment during same time frame rules out any human saying this. 4 Clip Raw – Raw clip of segment 4 EVP Extract – Raw extract of just the unexplainable area (EVP) 4 EVP Extract C A – Cleaned and amplified version of the EVP Class B EVP possibly saying “Sure is hot” or “Change of Heart” Location: Basement Near Walk-in Cooler 5 – 12:30 a.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 5 – Captured near walk-in cooler in basement after conducting an interactive EVP session in the adjacent room with the pinball machine and Terry hear noises come from behind him from the cooer area. Also had an EMF spike of about 5 milligauss right before this capture. In the raw clip Greg is saying “What” followed by Terry’s “Musty smell” then Greg saying “You can tell it’s old”, then faintly you hear the unexplainable deep voice followed by Greg asking “Is this your freezer?” and then Tom stating “Something just shot out of there.” 5 Clip Raw – Raw clip of segment 5 EVP Extract C A – Cleaned and amplified version of the EVP Class B EVP possibly saying “Ignorant” or something sounding like that Location: Attic Bedroom 6 – 7:00 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 6 – Captured while in the attic bedroom near the stairs and where the bookshelf was knocked over by the unseen previously. Greg is telling another investigator about the EMF spike he just had and noting for him to check his camera later for it. Tom and Terry are noting the temperature dropping, towards the end during the popping or clicking you will hear a faint unexplainable voce. 7 Clip Raw – Raw clip of segment 7 EVP Extract C A – Cleaned and amplified version of the EVP Class B minus or Class C EVP – barely intelligible to unintelligible Location: Basement Pinball Room 8 – Approximately 10:15 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 8 - Raw audio extract from Sandy’s camera which was sitting in the basement room with the pinball machine. Note in the raw version you will hear a crackling noise that is actually an unexplainable voice when amplified. 8 Clip Raw – Raw clip of segment slightly amplified 8 EVP Extract C A – Cleaned and amplified version of the EVP Class B EVP is possibly saying “It’s not a …….” 9 – Approximately 10:30 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 9 - Raw audio extract from Sandy’s camera which was sitting in the basement room with the pinball machine. Note this is not EVP, but a very notable activity taking place with no one in the home. Note the dropping noise then the sound as if it is being pushed a few times across a surface. 9 Clip Raw Noise – Raw clip of segment amplified Judy’s Captures (Voice Recorder) Location: Hallway near Door Going to Attic 10 – 6:50 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 10 – Captured by Judy in the hallway near the door going to the attic at the same time that Greg captured (Number 4) above. 10 Clip Raw – Raw clip of segment 10 EVP Extract – Raw extract of just the unexplainable area (EVP) 10 EVP Extract C A – Cleaned and amplified version of the EVP Class B EVP possibly saying in this capture “Change of Heart” or something similar Location: Attic Bedroom in Bathroom Area 11 – 6:55 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 11 – Captured by Judy in the bathroom area of the Attic. In the raw you will hear Judy asking Greg to take some pictures in an area she is experiencing something with her sensitive abilities then. You then will hear others taking then right before Greg is asking Sandy if she is cold or something you will hear the unexplainable voice. 11 Clip Raw – Raw clip of segment 11 EVP Extract – Raw extract of just the unexplainable area (EVP) 11 EVP Extract C A – Cleaned and amplified version of the EVP Class B minus EVP possibly saying “Anger” or something similar Location: Outside the Home 12 – 8:00 p.m. – Meramec Manor EVP 12 – Captured by Judy when outside with the property owner. Note in the raw Judy is asking about a possible grave for an animal in the area they are in.
