Private Residence - Investigation of January 05, 2007 - 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. In attendance were Greg, Theresa, Steven and Sandy of MISSOURI PARANORMAL RESEARCH and Matt, Dennis and Trent of Meramec Valley Paranormal Research. Local weather conditions for this investigation for the time period of 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. were cloudy with occasional drizzle, winds from the West/South West 5 to 10 mph, temperatures started at 50 degrees Fahrenheit and dropped to 49 degrees Fahrenheit , dew point ranged from 45 down to 44 for the duration of this investigation, barometric pressure ranged from 29.76 rising to 29.81 during this investigation. Relative Humidity Ranged was steady at 83%. Lunar data was a Waning Gibbous Moon at approximately 92 percent Full. Solar X-Rays were normal and the Geomagnetic Field was Quiet. PARANORMAL TASK FORCE chimed in the new year with a call from Meramec Valley Paranormal Research for investigative assistance on a current case they had in Union, Missouri. From their preliminary investigation and interviews they concluded that an inhuman or demonic presence could be involved in this case and wanted to ensure their client had the fullest possible resources available. This case was classified as urgent by Meramec Vally Paranormal Research and as such the main investigation was already scheduled for January 5, 2007. As such, some of the property and other related research will have to follow the investigation as it could not be fully completed in the short time prior to it. This new home built in 2005 and is located in Union, MO. The property history includes being a cattle farm with possibilities of also being located on a past burial ground as well. Residing in the home are a married couple and their two young children along with a pet canine who have resided there since the completion of this home. The family began experiencing anomalous activity soon after moving in. Such activity includes hearing audible voices and sounds such as sexual moans and groans with whispers and other voices which brought about a state where each spouse actually thought that the other spouse was engaging in infidelity in the home while physically not in the presence with the other spouse. These audible voices and noises are thought to be coming from the basement area of the home by both spouses. It was also stated by the husband that sometimes the voices will answer thoughts inside his head and make him think that someone has broken into his home. The family also stated that their pet canine has been thrown into the basement wall by unseen forces on occasion and that the canine will not go into the basement anymore over such. Other experiences also include waking up to their child's crib shaking violently, footsteps in their hallway, the sounds of doors closing, and an olive wood cross located in their bedroom curio cabinet has been physically moved beyond just the potential of falling within the curio cabinet itself. The eldest child has been known to point to area with no one present within the home and ask "Who is that?" The father has also awakened in the middle of the night gasping for air and sometimes with aches throughout his body. Also, small objects such as a CD Case and a pair of socks have been thrown at the husband and wife recently by unseen forces. It is also noted that the eldest child has experienced unexplainable scratches, bruises and small bite marks on occasion. It was also stated that while the home was being built that a teen fatally crashed in his car nearby the site. Meramec Vally Paranormal Research conducted a preliminary investigation of this residence on December 27, 2006 in which they experienced a penny being tossed at them in the basement, one investigator witnessed a white wave like figure slightly luminescent in nature pacing back and forth in the basement area as well. Also, remarkable EVP was captured during this preliminary investigation. Further discussion with family and friends does indicate potential increased emotional and family stress along with various lifestyle habits which could either be effected by or actually effecting the activity levels experienced within this home. Also, there is the possibility of the potential use of metaphysical/new age items by family members in the past and also by guest within the home recently as well. This seems to be a case where the family has to "Help Someone to Help Them" for the sake of their children, themselves and their well being. Brought by Greg; Cell Sensor EMF Detection Meter, La Crosse IR-101 Infra-Scan IR Thermometer, Russian DRSB-01 & DRSB-88 Radiation Detectors/Dosimeters, Panasonic RR-US360 IC Recorder, Sony DSC-F828 8.0 Mega pixel Digital Still Camera (Cybershot), Sony CCD-TRV-98 Camcorder with 17 hour battery, Sony HVL-IRM IR Light for above cameras, Radio Shack motion sensor alarm, ghost catchers/wind chimes and an Engineer Directional Compass (Standard Magnetic Type). Other various video and voice recorders and digital/film cameras were brought by other team members as well. MISSOURI PARANORMAL RESEARCH investigators arrived at a nearby McDonalds at 7 p.m. to meet with team members from Meramec Valley Paranormal Research. All joint investigators arrived at the residence prior to 8 p.m. to get equipment set up and to conduct interviews with the family. Video and other equipment was focused throughout the home. A 90 minute lock down of the home was conducted with various equipment operating inside the home only while all human and animal elements were removed. The investigation concluded shortly after 12:00 a.m. and investigators debriefed the clients on future expectations and returned home. 1. The presence of an unseen force was felt at time right up against various investigators. 2. During an interactive EVP session in the basement the ambient air temperature increased from 61 degrees to 76 degrees Fahrenheit when questions were asked about Jesus and if the entity present was a demon. The temperature spiked at 76 degrees when it was asked who was older, Jesus or them? 3. Also temperature drops were observed during interactive EVP sessions where the temperature dropped from 61 degrees to 56 degrees Fahrenheit on occasions. 4. Audible sounds of a dog whimpering and whining were heard by most investigators at one point when equipment was not running. The canine was removed from the site for this investigation. 5. Other audible sounds such as a baby crying and child laughing were also heard by almost all investigators as times, again while equipment was not running. 6. A shadow like figure was observed in the basement by some investigators along with a curtain moving on its own (when the furnace was not operating). 7. During lock down, several investigators outside the residence observed a shadow moving across the inside of the kitchen and one of the attached garage windows several times where no video camera was placed to record. 8. During a Devout Catholic "Lay Person" Blessing of the house with Holy Water, etc. the person giving the blessing became ill and also choked by an unseen force. Later discussion with this individual indicates the choking was more like a constriction whereas they would speak and the force would contrict them further preventing them from inhaling. When they exited the home the constriction immediatly lifted. Another sensitive investigator also became ill feeling, dizzy, nauseated, had their ears ringing, became chilled and shivering and had to removes themselves from the site as well. 9. Black floating and moving orb like objects were witnessed by one investigator as well near the basement doorway. Several digital pictures, approximately 8 to 10 hours of video and 3 to 5 hours of audio were collected during the investigation. All collected video, pictures and audio are in need of further analysis to determine potential evidence. Preliminary Analysis Notable Audio clips have been extracted for further review and analysis. Final Analysis & Results No notable pictures or video was captured. Although about 4 somewhat remarkable audio segments were captured, they were not remarkable enough to label it as fully unexplainable. Although some experiences and events witnessed by investigators were notable and some possible EVP was captured, there was not enough combined captured evidence and experiences to substantiate an actual haunting or the existence of paranormal activity at his location. There was however enough to warrant a follow up investigation in attempt to capture further evidence. The client and there family did sell this home not long after our investigation and have since moved out of state.
